These Terms & Conditions apply to appointments, treatments and treatment packages provided by EJB Sports Massage Treatments. By booking or attending an appointment, you agree to these terms.
1. Services
EJB Sports Massage Treatments provides sports massage services intended to support muscular recovery, reduce muscular tension and support active lifestyles.
Treatments are tailored to the individual based on information provided during consultation and the therapist's professional assessment within their scope of practice.
Sports massage does not replace medical diagnosis, medical treatment, physiotherapy or emergency medical care.
2. Appointments
Appointments are available Monday to Friday, subject to availability. Availability varies throughout the week and appointments are arranged directly with EJB Sports Massage Treatments through the website, phone or email.
Clients should arrive at the agreed appointment time. If you expect to be late, please contact EJB Sports Massage Treatments as soon as possible. Late arrival may reduce the time available for treatment, but the full appointment fee may still apply.
3. Treatment Prices
Current individual treatment prices are:
45-minute Sports Massage — £45
60-minute Sports Massage — £55
Prices may change from time to time. Any price change will not affect appointments or packages already purchased unless otherwise agreed or required by law.
4. Treatment Packages
The following prepaid packages are available:
3 × 60-minute sessions — £150
5 × 60-minute sessions — £240
Packages:
Are valid for 6 months from the date of purchase
Are for use by the named client
Are non-transferable unless otherwise agreed
Must be used before their expiry date
Are subject to appointment availability
Remain subject to the normal cancellation policy
Clients are responsible for arranging appointments with sufficient time to use their sessions before the package expires.
5. Payment
Payment is accepted by cash or bank transfer.
Payment is due at the time agreed when arranging the appointment. Treatment packages must be paid for in full before or when the package begins unless otherwise agreed.
6. Cancellations & Rescheduling
A minimum of 24 hours' notice is required to cancel or rearrange an appointment.
Where less than 24 hours' notice is provided, the full appointment price will be due.
For prepaid packages, a session cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice may be deducted from the remaining package sessions.
Exceptions may be considered at the discretion of EJB Sports Massage Treatments in exceptional circumstances.
7. Missed Appointments
Appointments missed without the required notice will be charged at the full appointment price.
For prepaid packages, the missed appointment may be deducted from the client's remaining sessions.
8. Late Arrivals
Clients who arrive late may receive a shorter treatment so that subsequent appointments are not affected.
The full price of the original appointment will normally remain payable.
9. Consultation & Health Information
Before treatment, clients may be required to complete a consultation and medical-history form.
Clients are responsible for providing accurate and relevant information concerning medical conditions, injuries, operations, medications, allergies and other circumstances that could affect treatment.
Relevant changes should be disclosed before subsequent appointments.
10. Consent to Treatment
Sports massage will only be provided with the client's consent.
Clients may ask questions, request changes to pressure or techniques, decline a technique, ask for treatment to stop or withdraw consent at any time.
11. Treatment Suitability
EJB Sports Massage Treatments reserves the right to adapt, postpone or decline treatment where the therapist reasonably considers treatment inappropriate or outside their professional scope of practice.
Where appropriate, clients may be advised to seek assessment or advice from a suitably qualified healthcare professional.
12. Treatment Responses
Responses to sports massage vary between individuals. Temporary muscular tenderness, soreness or sensitivity may occur following treatment.
No particular treatment outcome can be guaranteed.
Clients should seek appropriate medical attention for severe, unusual, worsening or concerning symptoms.
13. Professional Conduct & Boundaries
EJB Sports Massage Treatments is committed to providing a professional, respectful and safe treatment environment.
Sexual, threatening, abusive, discriminatory or otherwise inappropriate behaviour will not be tolerated.
EJB Sports Massage Treatments reserves the right to immediately stop treatment and/or refuse future appointments where inappropriate behaviour occurs.
14. Clothing, Privacy & Draping
Only areas reasonably necessary for treatment will be exposed.
Appropriate towels or coverings will be used where necessary to maintain client comfort, dignity and privacy.
Clients should tell the therapist immediately if they feel uncomfortable.
15. Personal Belongings
Clients are responsible for their personal belongings while attending an appointment.
EJB Sports Massage Treatments cannot accept responsibility for loss or damage except where liability cannot lawfully be excluded.
16. Privacy & Client Records
Personal information is handled in accordance with the EJB Sports Massage Treatments Privacy Policy.
Consultation, consent, health and treatment records are retained for a minimum of 7 years following the client's last treatment, unless a longer period is required by applicable legal, insurance or professional requirements.
17. Package Cancellations & Refunds
If you purchase a treatment package and subsequently wish to cancel it, please contact EJB Sports Massage Treatments as soon as possible.
Where a refund is agreed after one or more sessions have already been used, completed treatments may be recalculated at the standard individual 60-minute treatment price of £55 per session, with the value of those treatments deducted from any refund due.
For example, if a client purchases a package at a discounted rate and later requests a refund after using part of it, they will not normally retain the package discount on the treatments already received.
Sessions lost as a result of a late cancellation or missed appointment under the 24-hour cancellation policy may also be treated as used when calculating any remaining package value.
Expired unused sessions will not normally be refunded unless required by law or otherwise agreed by EJB Sports Massage Treatments.
Refund requests will be considered fairly according to the circumstances and applicable consumer law.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions affects your statutory consumer rights.
18. Illness
Please contact EJB Sports Massage Treatments before attending if you are unwell, have a contagious illness or infection, or develop symptoms that could make treatment inappropriate.
The appointment may need to be rearranged where treatment would not be appropriate.
19. Home-Based Treatment Location
EJB Sports Massage Treatments operates from a private treatment location in Christchurch, Dorset.
Clients are expected to respect the property and treatment environment while attending.
The full address and relevant arrival information may be provided to confirmed clients.
20. Complaints
EJB Sports Massage Treatments aims to provide a professional and high-quality service. If you are unhappy with any aspect of your treatment or experience, please contact us so the matter can be reviewed.

Formal complaints will aim to be acknowledged within 3 working days and responded to within 14 working days. All complaints will be handled fairly, respectfully and confidentially.
If a complaint cannot be resolved directly, information regarding an appropriate professional body, insurer or relevant organisation may be provided where applicable.
21. Changes to These Terms
EJB Sports Massage Treatments may update these Terms & Conditions periodically to reflect changes to services, prices, policies, business practices or applicable requirements.
The latest version will be made available to clients.
